Since 2041 B.S., tea cultivation has been practiced in the Solma and Sungnam VDCs, located in the western region of Terhathum. By 2048 B.S., tea production had begun, but due to a lack of technical knowledge and market issues, the tea farmers formed the Tea Farmer Group Solma. Among them, 28 farmers registered the Singhadevi Tea Producer Cooperative Ltd. Solma in 2052 B.S.
Currently, there are 110 share members and about 200 tea farmers in its catchment area. The tea plantation covers an area of 1300 ropani, and the annual production is approximately 130,000 kgs of green leaf. A small processing plant has been established, capable of producing 15 kgs of made tea daily. The remaining green leaf production is sold to Guranse Tea Estate in Hile at a price of Rs 54.5 per kg.

- To promote for production of quality green leaf tea according to international standard and adopt organic tea farming system in members.
- To help organize and promote to members to solve their need problems according to the norms and theory of cooperatives.
- To manage tea technology training to tea farmers.
