On the occasion of 68th National Cooperative Day 2081, various tea cooperatives from Ilam district have been recognized and awarded for their outstanding contributions to the cooperative movement and development of tea sector.
Ucchapahadi Tea Cooperative from Deumai 03, Ilam was honored by Deumai Municipality, while Kanyam Tea Cooperative from Suryodaya 08, Ilam and Sundarpani Tea Cooperatives from Suryodaya 09, Ilam received recognition from Suryodaya Municipality. Similarly, Tinjure Tea Cooperative from Phakphokthum 02, Ilam and Hill Top Cooperative Deumai 08, Ilam were awarded by the District Tea Cooperative Federation Limited.
These cooperatives have played a vital role in enhancing tea production, processing, and marketing in the region through the cooperative movement. Their efforts have significantly contributed to improving the livelihoods of local tea farmers, creating employment opportunities, and boosting the local economy.
A special ceremony was organized to mark the occasion, attended by local government officials, cooperative members, and farmers. The event highlighted the importance of the cooperative model in sustainable development and encouraged continued excellence in the cooperative sector.
