Introduction
Pathibhara Tea Producers Cooperative Society Ltd.is a tea producers' cooperative located in Phungling Municipality, Ward No. 9, Taplejung District, Nepal. It is likely formed by local tea farmers to collectively cultivate, process, and market tea. Cooperatives like this aim to improve farmers' incomes, ensure fair pricing, and enhance tea quality. Taplejung, known for its high-altitude tea plantations, produces quality orthodox tea, and this cooperative may play a key role in promoting sustainable tea farming and trade in the region.
Pathibhara Tea Producers Cooperative Ltd., located in Phungling-9, Taplejung, was officially registered at the Division Cooperative Office, Ilam, on 10th Shrawan 2054 B.S. (July 25, 1997 A.D.), under registration number 02/2054/55. Established with the vision of strengthening the local tea farming community, the cooperative began with 70 share members, including 7 women. Since its inception, it has played a significant role in uniting small-scale tea farmers, improving production practices, and ensuring better market access for their produce.
This cooperative has own tea garden and processing factory. The produces organic black tea and green tea. They are selling their tea in the local market and Kathmandu.

Mission
The cooperative aims to support its members by providing competitive prices for organic green tea leaves, cash crops, and medicinal herbs. It also focuses on processing, marketing, fertilizer production, and financial services such as savings and loans. Additionally, the cooperative will enhance members' skills and capacities, establish small industries for self-employment, and evolve into a long-term sustainable institution.

Objectives
The cooperative has set the following objectives:
- To promote organic tea farming and tea plantation.
- To provide the necessary organic fertilizers and organic pesticides for tea production.
- To market the produced tea at the national and international levels.
- To encourage members in tea farming for their economic development.
Activities
- Provide organic fertilizers and pesticides to members and sell daily necessities at fair prices through a cooperative shop to reduce financial burdens.
- Organize exposure visits for farmers to locations practicing organic farming and promote organic agriculture.
- Arrange domestic market distribution for processed organic green tea.
- Work towards banning the distribution of harmful pesticides.
- Offer all necessary technical support to farmers.
- Improve the economic, social, and educational conditions of members by increasing income sources and employment opportunities.
- Offer competitive interest rates on deposits collected from members.
- Provide loans at specified interest rates for productive, income-generating, and skill-based activities.
- Maintain direct contact with service providers and relevant organizations to facilitate necessary services for members.
- Cooperate with local, regional, national, and international organizations with similar objectives.
