Nawami Tea Producer cooperative has been established in 2065 Aswin 03, registering in Division Cooperative Office Ilam with the participation of 38 tea farmer for the purpose of social, economic and cultural development of tea farmer and to conduct various activities in tea farming. From its establishment, Nawami tea cooperative is conducting saving and lending and collective tea selling activities. Nawami tea cooperatives had provided soft loan facility with the support of Youth and Small Enterprise Self Employment Fund of Nepal government and producing vermicompost with the support of supporting agencies called CAA. The cooperative conducting various activities with the support of central tea cooperative federation limited Nepal, tea board and local government. Now there are 210, share members.

To create a self-employment environment by marketing green leaves at competitive prices, saving/loan and other financial services, in addition to skills and capacity building for the members affiliated to the organization.
Objectives
- To encourage farmers in tea cultivation in the working area of cooperative,
- To strive to solve the problem of unemployment existing in rural areas.
- To cultivate, process, improve technology, and improve quality of organic tea production, as well as to manage the market for the produced tea,
- To process and market the produced tea,
- To help keep the environment clean by protecting the environment and preventing soil erosion,
- To encourage members to work together to meet their needs,
- To meet the domestic demand for tea and support export growth,
- To create a sense of self-reliance, mutual cooperation, and thrift among members and to promote the habit of saving,
- To encourage members to work according to the principles and spirit of the cooperative and raise their economic and social living standards,
- To provide training to member farmers on tea technology,
- To implement the programs of the Tea and Coffee Development Board, and to support the programs of government and non-government organizations.
