
The Small Family farmers of Fidim municipality 03 Lalikharka in Panchthar district organized themselves to form the Lali Tea Producers and Processing Cooperative Society (Ltd.). This cooperative initially consisted of 23 men and 4 women and was officially registered in the Division Cooperative Office in Ilam on 21st of Ashwin, 2066 (Nepali calendar). The cooperative's office is located in Lalikharka, ten kilometers southeast of the Mechi highway from Fidim Bazar, the headquarters of Panchthar district. Currently, the cooperative has grown to include 70 tea farmers who are advancing towards commercial organic tea cultivation.
Since its inception, the Lali Tea Producers and Processing Cooperative Society (Ltd.) has upheld cooperative principles, values, and beliefs. It has played a crucial role in improving the lives of its members by supporting their efforts to earn a daily income and promoting their social, cultural, and economic development.
