Aaiselu Tea Producer Cooperative Society Ltd. is situated in Yangwarak Rural Municipality Ward No. 5 of Panchthar district and was officially registered on 2067/11/10 B.S. at the Division Cooperative Office in Ilam. It holds the registration number 3/491/2067/68. The cooperative was established with the vision of organizing and supporting local tea farmers, particularly smallholders, to enhance their livelihoods through collective efforts in tea production and marketing. Currently, the cooperative has a total of 34 members, consisting of 23 males and 11 females, who are actively involved in its activities.
The cooperative offers saving and loan facilities to its members, helping them to access much-needed financial resources for their agricultural and household needs. It also plays a significant role in collecting green tea leaves from member farmers and managing the marketing and sale of these leaves, ensuring that farmers receive fair prices and timely payments. By creating this system, the cooperative not only provides economic support but also encourages continued engagement in tea farming.
Aaiselu Tea Producer Cooperative is committed to promoting organic tea farming. It actively advocates for environmentally friendly practices and encourages its members to shift towards organic methods of cultivation. This commitment aligns with the growing demand for organic products in both domestic and international markets and contributes to sustainable agricultural development in the region. The cooperative's affiliation with the Central Tea Cooperative Federation (CTCF) Nepal and the District Tea Cooperative Federation (DTCF) Panchthar further strengthens its capacity to engage in policy advocacy and sector-wide development.
In addition to financial and marketing support, the cooperative also focuses on human resource development. It regularly organizes technical and capacity-building training programs aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of its members. These trainings cover various aspects of tea farming, processing, and cooperative management.
