News : Second Phase of Assistant Tea Technician Training started in Lalitpur, Dhankuta, Terhathum, Sankhuwasabha and Jhapa District

CTCF Nepal and its implementing partner F-SKILL Pvt. Ltd. have started 2nd phase training of Assistant Tea Technician (Level 1) training based on the curriculum of CTEVT on 27th April 2021 in five different five districts: Jhapa, Dhankuta, Sankhuwasabha, Terathum and Lalitpur with support of Dakchyata, funded by European Union and Managed by British Council under the skill development for quality tea production project.  Formal inauguration program was organized inviting representatives of local government, local tea stakeholders.  CTCF will provide training to 100 trainees in different 5 training venues with 20 participants each. The training has been organizing in 3 phase by the CTCF Nepal.

The chairperson of Haldibari Jhapa Mr Rabindra Lingden inaugurated the training of Haldibari Jhapa. Ward chairperson of ward no 2 Mr Rajendra Younghang also addressed the inauguration program. The mayor of Pakhribas Municipality Mr Birkha Bahadur Rai inaugurated the training program of Pakhribas venue. Training participants from Dhankuta, Khotang, Solukhumbu, Morang will be trained in Parkhribas training venue. Chairperson of Mahangkal Rural Municipality Mr Ramchandra Dahal inaugurated the training of Gotikhel training venue.  Ward Chairperson of Ward no 4 Mr Santosh Prasad Gautam also provided well wishes for the training program. Participants from Lalitpur, Ramechhap, Nuwakot, Dolakha, Baglung will be trained in this venue. Similarly, the chairperson of Dharma Devi Rural Municipality Mr Ramesh Jimi inaugurated the training program of Sankhuwasabha District. Ward Chairperson of ward no 3 of Dharmadevi Rural Municipality Mr Shyam Poudel also attended the inauguration program. Likely, Deputy mayor of Laligurash Municipality Ms Tila Pokharel inaugurated the training program of Terathum District. During the inauguration program representative of NTCDB Kendra Kumar Limbu also addressed the program.

The training program will be conducted for 430 hours. During training, participants will be provided additional training on entrepreneurship and enterprise development, occupational safety and health, life skill training. Trainees will be provided with skill certification after the skill test from National Skill Testing Board (NSTB). All costs associated with the skill test will be bear by the CTCF Nepal.
