Tinchule Tea Producer Cooperative Society Ltd., located in Phakphokthum Rural Municipality-2, was officially registered at the Division Cooperative Office, Ilam, on 2069/02/31 (B.S.). The cooperative was founded through the active participation of 27 dedicated tea farmers who shared a vision of transforming tea farming into a more professional and sustainable practice. By integrating local resources, skills, knowledge, and information, the cooperative aims to uphold the core values and principles of cooperation while strengthening the tea sector.
With a mission to lead the promotion and integration of tea farming, the cooperative facilitates the purchase and sale of tea, ensuring better market access for farmers. Additionally, it provides essential training programs to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of tea growers, empowering them to adopt improved farming practices.
Currently, the cooperative has grown to include 34 tea farmers, four of whom are women. Committed to fostering social, economic, educational, and cultural development among its members, the cooperative actively participates in broader cooperative networks. It has invested in shares and is affiliated with the District Tea Cooperative Federatio Ltd., Ilam, the Central Tea Cooperative Federation Ltd., Nepal, and the National Cooperative Bank Ltd., Nepal.
