Introduction:
Tea Producer District Cooperative Federation Limited is an umbrella organization of the primary tea cooperatives in Dhankuta district. This federation was established with the aim of solving the problems of tea farmers in Dhankuta district and expanding tea cultivation, motivating farmers towards tea cultivation, providing loans to tea grower cooperatives to produce organic tea at affordable and convenient interest rates. The federation also has the objectives of coordinating with various organizations/institutions, monitoring and evaluating member cooperatives and providing necessary support, purchasing the materials required by the Cooperatives in bulk and arranging the exit and import arrangements. The first initial meeting of this federation was held on 2066.07.23 and the second meeting was held on 2066.08.8 and various agendas were discussed. The registration of this federation (registration number 11.067.068) was done in 2066 BS. At the time of registration of the federation, 6 primary cooperatives were affiliated, while currently 9 cooperatives are affiliated with this federation. This federation is affiliated to the National Cooperative Federation, Central Tea Cooperative Federation Ltd. Nepal.
