Sayapatri Tea Producer and Processing Cooperative society is situated in Suryodaya Municipality 08 of Ilam district. This cooperative was founded to support tea farmers from a specific ward, aiming to enhance their economic activities through the production and sale of green tea leaves. Additionally, the cooperative engages in savings and loan transactions to bolster the financial stability of its members.
The cooperative has been proactive in ensuring that the farmers receive fair prices for their green tea leaves. One of its key initiatives includes organizing various trainings and seminars. These educational activities are designed to help the affiliated tea farmers adopt organic farming practices, thereby improving the quality and sustainability of their tea production.
Currently, the cooperative has 64 tea farmers as share members. This expansion indicates a growing community of farmers dedicated to enhancing their agricultural practices and economic wellbeing through collective effort and support provided by the Sayapatri Tea Producer and Processing Cooperative.
