Introduction
Saththumke Tea Producer Cooperative Society, located in Ektin 2, Panchthar, was officially registered with the Division Cooperative Office in Ilam on 2065/06/02 B.S. with Registration No. 284. The cooperative started with 25 institutional members (4 females and 21 males) and has since expanded to 135 members, including 36 females and 109 males. The cooperative is characterized by its diverse membership, including 1 Dalit, 47 Janjati, and 87 members from other backgrounds.
Operating within the entire Ektin V.D.C., the cooperative manages a tea plantation spanning 373 Ropani (18.65 hectares). Financially, it has accumulated Rs 2,48,851 in savings, offering an 8% interest rate on savings while providing loans at a 12% interest rate, maintaining a 4% interest margin. With 5,122 shares issued, the cooperative has established itself as a key player in the region's tea production and financial sector.

Mission:
By expanding tea production, processing, marketing, and tourism promotion, and encouraging tea farmers toward commercial farming through cooperatives, we aim to develop economically, socially, and culturally. This approach will drive social transformation by increasing income and creating sustainable economic resources.
Goals:
- Within the scope of the organization and in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations of the Government of Nepal, the tea cooperative will work to develop its members in economic, social, educational, and cultural fields, thereby supporting social transformation.
- Partnering with other interested associations, organizations, and offices.
- Preparation for tea plantation and nursery establishment is ongoing.
- Cooperative training sessions have been conducted periodically to provide members with comprehensive knowledge related to cooperatives.
