Introduction
Ramche Organic Tea Producers Cooperative Society was established with the aim of playing a leading role in promoting and integrating tea farming by incorporating the tea farmers of Pakhribas Municipality (former Phalate, Muga, Sanne, Golikharka and Pakhribas VDC) of Dhankuta district with the objectives of processing the produced tea and providing proper training and advanced agricultural equipment to the tea farmers, and playing a leading role in promoting and integrating tea farming. This cooperative is located in Pakhribas Municipality Ward No. 4, Dhankuta. Embracing the principles of cooperatives and its basic values and norms, the cooperative aims to provide support in improvement in the living standards of its members by encouraging tea production, collecting green tea leaves from tea farmers, processing them and selling them, producing fertilizers required for tea and providing quality, financial and non-financial services. The cooperative was formally established in 2066.07.22 by 42 members at the Cooperative Division Office, Dhankuta. Currently, this cooperative has a total of 63 members, including 58 men and 5 women. This cooperative is affiliated with the District Cooperative Association, Dhankuta, thematic tea cooperative association, and the central tea cooperative association. Currently, the cooperative has established the first tea processing factory at the cooperative level in Dhankuta district under its own ownership. However, due to problems in electricity transmission, tea is being processed only at a small capacity.

Mission
To provide organic green tea leaf production, factory establishment and processing, marketing, tourist attractions, fertilizer production and savings/credit and other financial services to the members, in addition to creating a self-employment environment by enhancing the skills and capabilities of the members, and to develop as a long-term organization.
Goal
To comply with the prevailing cooperative act and regulations within the scope of the organization, to promote the economic, social, educational and cultural professional development of the organization and its members, to expand production and market.
Objective
- To produce organic green tea leaves, to raise public awareness among members in this regard, to modernize organic tea,
- To acquire modern technical knowledge and skills in organic tea production and to produce quality tea by producing tea nurseries.
- To organize tea farmers and encourage them to cultivate tea commercially,
- To organize through cooperatives to manage the market for the leaves produced by the farmers and to coordinate with the national and international trade sector,
- To enhance the technical knowledge and skills of tea farmers related to organic tea cultivation,
- To coordinate advocacy with non-governmental organizations, organizations, government agencies, the private sector, and individuals to solve the problems of tea farmers,
- To help tea farmers obtain loans at affordable interest rates,
- To make farmers aware and vigilant to conduct additional income-generating activities,
- To take the initiative in establishing processing factories for the produced green leaves,
- To provide loans and grants to expand offices, factories, and tea plantations in accordance with the objectives of the cooperative, in collaboration with various government, non-governmental, and other national and international organizations and institutions.
Additional objectives:
- To reduce the financial burden of members by providing organic fertilizers and pesticides and selling daily necessities at reasonable prices through cooperative shops,
- To increase the attraction of farmers towards organic farming by conducting observation tours of places where organic farming systems are adopted,
- To process organic green tea produced by farmers at low cost and arrange a market in the country,
- To try to stop the sale and distribution of harmful pesticides,
- To provide all kinds of necessary technical support to farmers,
- To conduct daily operations as provided in the Cooperative Act, rules and regulations, keeping the interests of the organization and members in mind, and to acquire, purchase, sell, exchange, transfer, deposit, mortgage, etc. Y To increase self-reliance, mutual cooperation and thrift among the members involved in the organization and to save regularly.
- To increase income sources and employment opportunities to improve the economic, social and educational status of the members of the organization.
- To provide interest to the depositors on their deposits at a competitive rate if deposits are received from the members regularly.
- To provide loans to the members at a specified interest rate for productive, income-generating and skill-generating purposes.
- To establish direct contact with the bodies that provide the services and facilities required by the members.
- To accept donations and grants received from donor organizations without any conditions.
- To maintain a cooperative spirit with local, regional, national and international organizations that have similar objectives to achieve its objectives.
