Prabngbung Tea Producer Cooperative Society, located in Phalelung Rural Municipality 05, Panchthar, is officially registered under Registration No. 3/640/069/070 with the Division Cooperative Office in Ilam as of 2069/05/14 B.S. The cooperative began with 28 institutional members, including 7 females and 21 males, and has since expanded to 72 current members, comprising 9 females and 63 males.
The cooperative serves the entire Phalelung Rural Municipality ward no 05. and manages a tea plantation covering 220 Ropani, which is approximately 11 hectares. Financially, the cooperative has accumulated a total saving amount of Rs 38,600. It offers savings at an interest rate of 12% and provides loans at 18%, resulting in a 6% margin between the two. The cooperative has issued a total of 720 shares, amounting to Rs 72,000. This structure enables the cooperative to support its members effectively while contributing to the growth and sustainability of the local tea industry.
