Introduction
Kimtang Organic Tea Production Cooperative Society, located in Myagang Rural Municipality-4, Nuwakot, is dedicated to promoting organic tea farming in the region. Registered on Ashar 19, 2078 B.S., with registration number 02/2078/2079, the cooperative aims to support local farmers by enhancing tea cultivation, processing, and market access.
Operating primarily in Myagang Rural Municipality, the cooperative focuses on sustainable and eco-friendly tea production practices. By encouraging organic farming methods, it helps farmers reduce their reliance on chemical inputs, ensuring high-quality, environmentally friendly tea. The cooperative also plays a vital role in uniting small-scale tea farmers, providing training, technical support, and potential market linkages to improve their livelihoods.
Through collective efforts, Kimtang Organic Tea Production Cooperative Society is working towards increasing the recognition of Nuwakot’s tea industry while contributing to the broader development of Nepal’s organic tea sector.
