Aagejung Tea Producer Cooperative Society Ltd. is a community-based organization situated in Hilihang Rural Municipality-3 of Panchthar district in eastern Nepal. Officially registered under number 411/2065/66 on the 27th of Chaitra, 2065 B.S. (April 2009 A.D.), the cooperative was established with the aim of promoting tea farming and uplifting the livelihoods of smallholder tea farmers in the region. The cooperative plays a crucial role in organizing and supporting tea growers, particularly within its designated working area of Hilihang Rural Municipality-3.

This cooperative is formally affiliated with the National Tea and Coffee Development Board Nepal, the Central Tea Cooperative Federation (CTCF) Nepal, and the District Tea Cooperative Federation (DTCF), Panchthar. These affiliations ensure that Aagejung Tea Producer Cooperative Society is well connected to national and district-level tea networks, enabling it to access technical support, market information, training opportunities, and policy advocacy. Through these connections, the cooperative contributes to strengthening the overall tea value chain in Nepal.

The membership of the cooperative currently includes 44 individuals, among whom 40 are male and 4 are female.

Operating in Hilihang Rural Municipality-3, the cooperative focuses on coordinating the efforts of local tea farmers in cultivation, production, and marketing of green tea leaves. By pooling resources and knowledge, members benefit from shared infrastructure and collective bargaining power. This localized approach enhances the quality of tea leaves and improves the socio-economic conditions of member farmers by ensuring fair pricing and consistent market access.

Aagejung Tea Producer Cooperative Society Ltd. serves as a model of grassroots development and cooperation in Nepal’s tea-growing regions. By empowering smallholder farmers, fostering community engagement, and advocating for better policies and practices, the cooperative continues to play a significant role in the sustainable development of tea farming in Panchthar. With support from its affiliations and active member participation, the cooperative has the capacity to grow further and positively impact rural livelihoods.
